Part of the Sam Park Hair team participated in an exciting event this week.
Our two Senior stylists, Sam Park and Nicola Watson, attended a Trevor Sorbie Masterclass on Monday, the class was held at the Charlie Miller Salon in Edinburgh and presented by Trevor Sorbie himself. Both of our stylists were awarded a participation certificate which is now displayed in the salon.
Trevor Sorbie is a four-time winner of British Hairdresser of the Year and was awarded an MBE in 2004. In his earlier years he was working as a stylist for Vidal Sassoon, Toni & Guy and John Frieda until he went on to open his first salon in 1979 and now has a line of four salons. Sorbie also started up his own charity “My New Hair” which teaches hairdressers to make wigs look more realistic, helping cancer patients who lost their hair through chemotherapy and other treatments. He now hosts demonstration masterclasses across the UK with his artistic team.
This inspirational course followed Sorbies’ artistic team in demonstrations of cutting, colouring and styling techniques.
- A short, layered cut with length around the face.
- Example of precision colouring, checkerboard effect.
- Major restyle to an inverted bob, all razor cut.
- Selection of models from the demonstrations.
